Small Bathrooms Big Impact

What rooms really stand out when looking at a house? Everything is important, but the kitchen and bathrooms make the biggest impact and can really influence your opinion.

Before undergoing any remodeling it’s first important to settle in on a new design that fits your vision. There are many ways to tackle a bathroom renovation so we outline out a few design elements worth fine-tuning before approaching the makeover:

Space: Sometimes it’s simply a matter of stealing a bit of room from an existing closet or attic space, especially if there is a nearby bathroom that has plumbing in close proximity.

Tile: A little designer secret is when bathrooms are smaller, adding in a few higher-end materials can be a good investment and really elevate your space. Tiles are a great item to splurge on as you won’t need to cover a large amount of square footage.

We typically recommend clients to opt for a more neutral color tile for the floors, allowing them to experiment with more accent colors on the walls if they’re trying to incorporate an eye-catching color.

Floors: A black and white color scheme can add a lot of character to a bathroom. Complementing this with fixtures, mirror and fun lighting can make the whole space pop.

Materials: Lastly, the ability to experiment with different materials such as shiplap or concrete can add a dramatic effect so your small bathroom has a big impact.
